Paykio

One payment. Your key arrives by e-mail.

Software stores send their buyers here to pay. Once your card payment clears, we e-mail you the licence key. You do not need to register or create an account.

From store to key

There are four steps. You only have to act in one of them.

  1. Choose

At the store, pick what you want and head to checkout. Enter the e-mail address where your key should go.

  2. Your link

You land on a paykio.shop page made just for this order. The link is good for fifteen minutes, and only once.

  3. Pay

PayPal's own checkout window opens. Use your PayPal balance or any credit or debit card (no PayPal account needed). The price is in US dollars. No money moves until you confirm, and your statement will read PAYPAL *PAYKIO.

  4. Get your key

Once the payment clears, the key is sent to your inbox, most often in a few seconds. Some keys are made by hand; if yours is, the e-mail tells you and the key comes after.

What happens to your card number

It never comes to Paykio. You type it into a PayPal window, and it stays with PayPal.

You pay inside PayPal

The pay button opens PayPal's own checkout window. In it, you can use your PayPal balance or any credit or debit card (no PayPal account needed). Everything you enter goes to PayPal directly. Our servers never receive a card number, and we never store one.

We hold the order record

That means the item, the price, the date, the reference number and the address the key went out to. PayPal tells us two things: did the payment go through, and how much was taken. That is all.

No tracking of any kind

We set no cookies of our own and use no analytics. The payment page keeps a single value in session storage, inside your browser. It lets you retry after a decline without starting a second payment, and it disappears when the tab closes.

  • Your order reference. Find it on the payment page or in your key e-mail. It lets us find the order at once.
  • No reference? Then the charge date and amount.

Common questions

What is this PAYKIO charge on my card?

It is a software licence. The store you bought it from takes its card payments through us, and the key went to the e-mail address entered at checkout. Still not sure? Send the date and amount to [email protected]. We will tell you what the charge was for.

I can't find my key

Look in your spam or junk folder. That is where most missing keys turn up. Nothing there? E-mail [email protected] with your order reference, or with the date and amount of the charge. We will find your order and resend the key.

Why has my payment link expired?

Each link is valid for fifteen minutes and can only be used once. This stops an old link (one you forwarded, saved, or left open in a tab) from being paid a second time. Just return to the store and check out again. You are not charged until a payment actually goes through.

Do you give refunds?

Yes, in three cases: you paid twice, no key ever reached you, or the key is faulty and we have nothing to replace it with. Changing your mind about a key that works is not a reason for a refund. Keys are delivered instantly, and a sent key cannot be recalled.

What information does Paykio hold?

Only the order details: the item, the price, the date, the reference, and the address that received the key. Your card number is not among them. It goes directly to PayPal and Paykio never sees it.

Who do I ask about the software?

The store that sold it to you. Our job is the payment and the key. We do not make the software, so we cannot help with how it works or what it supports.
